HBN-Teknik A/S
HBN-Teknik A/S was founded in 1974 in Ringsted, Denmark by the entrepreneur Heine B. Nielsen (HBN), who started to manufacture metal fittings and hydraulic tanks for trucks and trailers.
In 1982 the company was acquired by the BPW Group, the world’s leading manufacturer of intelligent running gear systems for trailers and semi-trailers.
Since then, HBN changed its strategy from being a traditional steel manufacturer to becoming an entrepreneurial company within research, development, and manufacturing products in composite materials.
The new strategy led to one of the world’s first injection molded mudguards in 1986, to integrated antispray solutions in 1994, and to new innovative air spring pistons in 2003.
